The Select Photographers Photo Contest is now open for entries!

Want to see people treat each other better? The Envision Kindness Select Photographers Program was created for talented and compassionate photographers who have a deep interest in seeing people treat each other better and experience happiness.

For this photo contest, we are especially interested in seeing images that show:

~ Peace and tolerance of differences ~
~ Kindness to oneself ~
~ Kind public service work ~
~ Kind volunteering and charity ~

We are also open to other types of kindness images. Please click here for a guide to many types of kindness images to help inspire you, including examples! We accept many types of photography, including studio, documentary, or street photography. Conceptual and symbolic photographs are welcome. Please do NOT submit AI photography to this contest.

Every accepted image will receive an honorarium (see below for details). Of these, three of the most outstanding images will be displayed on our website and newsletter, published in a prestigious photography publication, and awarded an additional monetary prize of $200 USD.

Photographers who have been invited to be members of the program and have already received their Select Photographer ID number are eligible to submit photographs for consideration. Do you believe the world can be a kinder place?

It can, through your photography. We know that after people see images of kindness, they are kinder, happier, more optimistic, and more generous.

Envision Kindness is a non-profit that inspires kindness, compassion, joy, and love through still and video photography. We share the best images to inspire people wherever they are. Some images become part of inspiring videos for Enspire.

On the Enspire page, you will find more videos as well as links to the science showing how your images of kindness, caring, and compassion can make people happier, calmer, more grateful, and more generous!

  • You may find kindness in animals, in a heart-shaped leaf, in hikers lending a hand, in protecting the environment, and so much more.

  • Kindness in the Community

  • Our communities are filled with kindness! At work, in places of worship, in hospitals, from non-profits, and in public spaces and shops.

Why submit?

  • Your photographs can help create new acts of kindness and make people happier
  • You will receive an honorarium if your image is selected
  • Your work may be showcased on the Envision Kindness website and distributed through our networks with your full credit or first initial and last name

Must be 18 years of age or older to submit photographs.
Submitted images will be compensated according to US law*.

*Please note: US law prohibits us from sending funds to certain countries, including Iran, Russia or Belarus. Entrants from those countries will be recognized for their contributions, but we are unable to monetarily compensate individuals from these nations at this time. We recognize that there are many kind people in those countries as there are in all others. Any honorarium of photographers from these countries will be awarded to an international charity that promotes peace and tolerance.

The process

How to Become a Member

Did we already invite you to be a member? If you're interested, email us back and we will register you as a member and give you a member ID#. Want to participate in the Select Photographers Program but haven't been invited to be a member yet? Email us at ekselectphoto@envisionkindness.org with a link to your website, Instagram account, or a PDF portfolio of your work (please don't send as email attachments) and we will get back to you!

Image Selection

Already a member? Submit your photos through the link on this page. One photo per entry. Up to five (5) submissions per person per month. Images will be selected by our staff members after the current Select Photographers contest closes on May 4th.

Compensation

We provide an honorarium for images that we accept through this program. Envision Kindness will also release calls for images depicting specific subject matter throughout the year, and special Select Photographer photo contests will also be held periodically..
